The history and valuable ingredients of the rosehip

Our cut rosehip shell tea is an organic raw material obtained from the shells of rose hips. The tea is lovingly packaged in our Gräfenhof tea factory in northern Germany and is a tasty alternative to conventional teas. The history of the rosehip dates back to ancient times. Even back then, the red fruits were used as a remedy for various complaints. The rosehip is a collective fruit consisting of the fruits of rose species. This usually involves the fruits of the dog rose, but other wild roses such as the potato rose or the apple rose are also used to extract rose hips. The rosehip contains a variety of valuable ingredients such as vitamin C, vitamin E, beta-carotene and flavonoids. The shells of the rosehip are also rich in these valuable vitamins and antioxidants. During the production of our cut rosehip shell tea, the shells are gently dried to preserve the valuable ingredients. Our cut rosehip shell tea has a mild, fruity flavor that reminds of the aroma of rose hips.
