Our bitter tea is a strong herbal tea from northern Germany, consisting exclusively of organically grown ingredients and produced & packaged in our Gräfenhof tea factory. It contains milk thistle seeds, peppermint leaves, yarrow herb, fennel, lemon verbena, dandelion herb, mugwort herb, and hop flowers, carefully selected to create a harmonious combination. Our bitter tea is named after its bitter taste, which is created by dandelion and milk thistle seeds in the tea. However, the tea is by no means unpalatable and is refreshing and fragrant through the addition of peppermint leaves and lemon verbena. Fennel in the tea supports digestion and soothes the stomach, while the bitter substances contained promote digestion and stimulate the liver to produce more bile.
